TRAVEL IS STILL ABOUT PEOPLE. TECHNOLOGYJUST HELPS US DO IT BETTER.
If you're tired of hearing about AI, you're not alone. Honestly, I am too.
Not because I don't think it's valuable. Quite the opposite, actually. But somewhere along the way, the conversation became so saturated with predictions, buzzwords, and promises that many people tune it out before it even starts.
As a traveler, do you really care whether your travel management company uses AI?
Probably not.
What you care about is whether your question gets answered quickly. Whether someone can help when your flight is delayed. Whether a hotel issue gets resolved without spending an hour on hold. Whether your travel partner makes your life easier or more complicated.
At Campbell Travel, we believe great technology should enhance the human experience, not replace it. That's why we're excited about our new partnership with Acai Travel. This collaboration supports our commitment to continuous improvement by helping our team spend less time on administrative tasks and more time focused on what matters most: our clients.
While AI often gets discussed in terms of what it might do someday, we're focused on what it can do today. Acai helps us better manage the flow of traveler requests, identify opportunities to streamline processes, and reduce repetitive work happening behind the scenes. Most travelers will never see any of that, and that's exactly how it should be.
The best technology isn't the technology everyone talks about. It's the technology that quietly makes things work better. Travel is still a relationship business, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. What I do see changing is how technology supports the people behind those relationships. The more administrative work we can remove, the more time our advisors have to do what they do best: solve problems, provide guidance, and take care of travelers.
So yes, I'm tired of hearing about AI.
But I'm not tired of talking about ways to make travel easier, faster, and better for the people we serve.

Business Travel Spending Expected to Reach New Heights
The latest Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) forecast projects business travel spending to reach a record $1.71 trillion in 2026, signaling continued confidence in the value of face-to-face meetings and business development travel. While organizations remain focused on cost management, the report suggests companies continue to prioritize travel that drives measurable business outcomes.
Airlines Continue Expanding International Operations
Several major carriers have announced new international routes and network expansions, including additional service to Europe and Asia. Increased competition and expanded route networks may provide travelers with more nonstop options, greater flexibility, and new opportunities to optimize travel programs.
Airlines and airports are making investments aimed at improving the traveler experience. Recent developments include expanded inflight connectivity, the return of seatback entertainment on some aircraft, and new airport technologies designed to streamline support and reduce traveler friction.
American Airlines recently updated its 24-hour refund policy, highlighting the importance of staying informed on supplier policy changes that can impact booking flexibility and travel program administration. Corporate travel managers may want to review traveler communications and booking guidance as airline policies continue to evolve.
The Ultimate Luxury? Feeling Better Than When You Left.
Written By: Jennifer Harrison, EVP
For years, luxury travel was defined by what you could see: five-star hotels, oceanfront suites, and unforgettable dining experiences. Today, luxury is being redefined by something far more valuable: how you feel when you return home.
Wellness travel has evolved well beyond spa treatments and yoga classes. Travelers, executives, and organizations alike are seeking experiences that improve focus, reduce stress, strengthen connections, and promote overall well-being. In a world that rarely slows down, the opportunity to truly disconnect has become one of the greatest luxuries of all.
I experienced this firsthand at a recent conference. One wellness resort created a space that blocked out the noise and distractions of the event and invited attendees into a brief guided meditation. It lasted only ten minutes, yet the sense of calm and clarity stayed with me throughout the week. It made me think: if ten minutes can have that kind of impact, imagine what a long weekend or dedicated retreat could do for a leadership team or an entire organization.
Forward-thinking companies are beginning to recognize that wellness retreats aren't simply a reward. They're an investment in their people. Whether it's a leadership retreat focused on renewal and strategic thinking, a team getaway designed to combat burnout, or a wellness-inspired incentive trip, these experiences help employees return more energized, engaged, and connected.
The future of luxury travel isn't about doing more. It's about feeling better. And for many organizations, the most valuable outcome of a retreat may not be what happens while they're away, but how they perform when they come back.
