For over 40 years, Campbell Travel has been built on one simple idea: There’s got to be a better way. That belief began when our founder, Bob Campbell, stayed up late into the night trying to book travel for his own family — and realized the experience could be simpler, smoother, and more personal.
Today, that same mindset continues to shape everything we do.
May is Travel Advisor Month, and it feels especially meaningful to reflect on what that idea has grown into — a team of dedicated advisors who bring that “better way” to life for our clients every single day.
We’re proud to share the core values guiding the next chapter of Campbell Travel:
There’s Got to Be a Better Way
We challenge the status quo and continually look for smarter, more thoughtful ways to serve our clients.
Relentlessly Helpful
We go the extra mile — taking ownership, anticipating needs, and showing up when it matters most.
Fun People, Serious Follow Through
We believe great relationships and great service go hand in hand — bringing positivity, professionalism, and accountability to every interaction.
Solutions, Not Stress
When challenges arise, we focus on what matters: taking action and delivering solutions with confidence and care.
These values aren’t just words — they reflect the standard our travel advisors live by every day, and the experience we strive to deliver for every traveler we support.
During Travel Advisor Month, we celebrate the people who make that possible — our incredible team — and the clients who trust us with their journeys.
Thank you for being part of our story.

Aviation Braces for Fuel Shock
A global jet fuel shortage, driven largely by the Middle East conflict, is pushing prices to record highs and threatening aviation supply chains worldwide. Airlines are responding by cutting capacity, raising fares and fees, and implementing operational measures, with smaller airports and fuel-dependent regions facing the greatest risk of shortages and service disruptions.
Despite a ceasefire, industry leaders warn that supply constraints and elevated costs could persist for months, continuing to pressure airline profitability and global travel demand.
Airlines are now limiting portable charges on aircrafts, as part of stricter safety measures to reduce the risk of lithium battery fires onboard.
The chargers must be kept accessible, not in overhead bins or checked luggage, so crew can quickly respond if overheating occurs, building on existing rules requiring devices to remain visible during use. The move comes amid a steady rise in battery-related incidents, with regulators reporting dozens of events annually as travelers carry more electronic devices.
American Express is expanding its Centurion Lounge network with new locations planned for Boston Logan and Charlotte Douglas airports, alongside a major expansion of its Dallas-Fort Worth lounge. The new concepts include both full-scale lounges and a smaller “Sidecar” format designed for travelers seeking quicker, premium experiences. The move reflects growing demand for high-end airport amenities as competition intensifies among credit card issuers to attract premium travelers.
Major U.S. airlines, including Delta, United, and JetBlue, are increasing checked baggage fees as part of broader efforts to offset rising operating costs. The fee hikes come as jet fuel prices surge due to geopolitical tensions, prompting carriers to rely more heavily on ancillary revenue streams like baggage charges. Airlines indicate these higher fees may remain in place, signaling a continued shift toward increased add-on costs for travelers.
For many professionals, summer is one of the few times in the year when stepping away feels not only possible—but necessary. After months of constant demands and full calendars, it offers a rare opportunity to reset, recharge, and reconnect with the people who matter most.
Increasingly, that time is being shared across generations. Families are choosing to travel together—bringing grandparents, parents, and children into one experience—creating space for connection that busy schedules rarely allow.
Because the most valuable part of travel isn’t where you go. It’s the time you get back.
In these moments, the pace shifts. Conversations stretch a little longer. Laughter comes a little easier. And the in-between time—often overlooked—becomes the most memorable part of all. Multi-generational travel brings a unique richness to these experiences. What feels nostalgic to one generation becomes new and exciting to another. Shared experiences take on deeper meaning, creating memories that stay with you long after summer ends.
True luxury, however, is not just about the destination—it’s about ease.
Our advisors design travel that feels seamless from start to finish, with thoughtful details, exclusive access, and personalized experiences that allow you to be fully present. No logistics to manage, no details overlooked—just time to enjoy.
Make This Summer Count
